About Sugata

Sugata

I was born in Hooghly in eastern India and grew up in Allahabad in northern India. I have lived in several Indian cities like Kolkata, Chennai and Hyderabad. It was in January 2006 that I bought my first digital camera Sony CyberShot DSC-W5 and have been clicking away ever since.
Currently I am an assistant professor in Lake Forest, IL, USA. I like to carry my latest DSLR Pentax K-1 along with me wherever I go. I'm strictly an amateur and take photos purely for the enjoyment I get out of it. My father is the best amateur photographer I've ever seen, and my ultimate aim is to take better photos than him. Almost all my photos are taken with my Sony and my Pentaxes. I also use my father's old Pentax MX 35mm SLR and any other camera that I can lay my hands on.
