Inside Trinity

Posted by
Sugata (Lake Forest, United States) on 25 March 2009 in Architecture.

Trinity Church is located at the intersection of Broadway and Wall Street in downtown Manhattan. The present day Trinity Church, designed by architect Richard Upjohn, is considered a classic example of Gothic Revival architecture and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1976 for its architectural significance and place within the history of New York City.

Photography inside was very difficult due to the low light. Moreover, all the horizontal surfaces are rounded so it was impossible to keep the camera anywhere. I somehow managed this two second shot resting the camera on a wooden railing and partly resting it on a woolen cap held in my hand.

Thanks a lot to everyone who commented on my photos, or even stopped by for a visit. The comments have been pouring in pretty fast and I'm finding it increasingly difficult to reply to each individually. I'd rather spend that time in viewing others' photos and commenting there. But I do read each comment individually, and if you ask me something specific, I'll answer that.
