Ground Zero Cross

Posted by
Sugata (Lake Forest, United States) on 11 September 2011 in Cityscape & Urban.

The World Trade Center cross, also known as the Ground Zero cross, is a group of steel beams found amidst the debris of the World Trade Center following the September 11, 2001 attacks which resembles the proportions of a Christian cross. ~ Wikipedia.

Is it just me, or do those two windows resemble the twin towers? On this 10th anniversary of this tragic event, let's take a moment to remember those who died at ground zero.

Thanks a lot to everyone who commented on my photos, or even stopped by for a visit. The comments have been pouring in pretty fast and I'm finding it increasingly difficult to reply to each individually. I'd rather spend that time in viewing others' photos and commenting there. But I do read each comment individually, and if you ask me something specific, I'll answer that.
